Milk tankers (tanks for food liquids) are a specialized type of road tankers used to transport milk or other food liquids from farm enterprises to processing plants. Since milk is a perishable product, special requirements are put forward for milk tankers. It is important that the vehicle and equipment ensure the invariability of the consumer qualities of milk at all stages of transportation. Polycar provides several standard options and custom-made tankers.

The “Improved” milk tank is one of the top quality and most durable options due to the use of reliable components. In the production of such tanks, high-quality stainless food steel is used, a thermal insulation layer is provided in the tank body, and polished stainless steel is used as the sheathing. In this option, a heating system for pipelines and drain valves are provided. To service the tank, the following are provided: a platform with an anti-slip coating (corrugated aluminum sheets or a flooded floor) and handrails for gripping on the tank.

In order to be able to transport several types of liquids at the same time, the tank is divided into several compartments, the number of compartments and volume depend on the chassis and the wishes of the customer.

A milk tanker must be equipped with a special coating inside that does not react chemically with the transported products and is easy to clean (in most cases, food grade steel is used). The surface of the tank must be even and smooth, as this affects the quality of the milk.

Hermetic storage of products during transportation is achieved thanks to hatches that are hermetically sealed. This approach guarantees 100% protection against impurities and microbiological reagents entering the milk. In addition, pumps with meters are built into milk trucks to control the liquid level, which has a positive effect on trade and economic relations between the customer and the supplier. Of course, the client can check the capacity of the tank at any time, and the sensor plays an indisputable role in this process, it is a kind of a fixer of losses. In addition to sensors the milk tanker is equipped with the following elements: suction and delivery hoses, flow meters with data on the display, locking parts, pneumatically operated gate valves, etc.
